We put all our efforts in this release to make our product more innovative than ever.
The upcoming version 1.5 is devoted mainly to issues of flexibility, interactivity and creativity.
This means: We directly changed the way you setup the content with the goal to move enlogic:show away from the standard display-system to a interactive presentation system.
A detailed list of changes can be found in the current change-list.
"From sequences and occurances ..."
These are the new keywords in this release. In previous versions events were limited to one layout and its derived content. Now, after implementing the sequence-system, there is no more limitation. You can create as much content-screens as you like per event.
Sequences are the containers which hold your layout and content data for a single screen.
To increase interactivity directly at the device, we have implemented an event-layer in enlogic:show. An example: A picture now has the occurance "click". As reaction to this occurance you can setup which sequence should be displayed.
There is also superior events. For example, you can setup your sequence to only display for a maximum of 2 minutes then display the next or jump to the first sequence. As you can perhaps already estimate: With the help of these techniques are the almost no limits to interactivity. The event system has a flexible design, which will enable monitoring of hardware sensors in future versions of enlogic:show. But that's another story:)
"... and creativity"
The fact that we have our ears wide open when it comes to ideas and suggestions and carefully analyze our customer feedback, we found the time right to open up the rigid structure of the content modules and set the scene for a more intuitive design.
The result is a new module called "Freestyle". As the name says: This module allows the free positioning of text, image and flash objects. It supports effects like rotation, alpha blending, coloring and text styles as well as WYSIWYG display and drag & drop handling. Similar to the sequence-system freestyle uses slides. Slides, like known from Microsoft Powerpoint, are individual container for content. This allows complete presentations within a single freestyle object.
Other features, such as reference data from external sources, copy and paste objects on foils complete the module.
"... and candies."
Finally, the current enlogic:show build now supports the Microsoft Powerpoint Media Format.
But thats enough for now. We want to keep the excitement going:) Finally, we present you 4 screenshots(german content) of the sequence-system, as well as the freestyle editor in "action".
